It was on 7th and  8th feb 2013 when I happened  to attend  programme by WWF  for teacher to understand  and further  inculcate the  habit of environment  conservation among student--  the future guardian of the earth. The WWF had  great hospitality at  CMD ( center for mountain dynamic) Kalimpong   with pick and drop facility.  Four highly dedicated staffs of WWF Sikkim from Gangtok  tried their  best to convey the message and inform us about the  on going projects. with special emphasis  to Panda and  High level  wet land  of Sikkim. They sited  the  success story  of many places in Sikkim with expectation that  one can  make  much difference  in the area of  conservation. The programme had to be squeeze due to the ban announced by the political party of the area. 

Although  the camp was short  but  has been an eye opener to me in many ways. I learned about Bird watching   and feel like  i can make  list of  some of the  birds  present here.

CHOIR  OF SALGHARI CHURCH

It was an rare chance and  first  opportunity to  click a  band (gospel) in Salghari south Sikkim ( just Above Jorethang) .  I loved it and learn a lot. all though  being  non Christen  I enjoyed  the Choir and the speech  by Mr.  Dhurbashisiya  the  4-8 man

GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL

A grassroots  football coaching camp was  organized by the DSA  youth in Sombarey  from 5th Jan. to 31st Jan 2013. the main objective was to   make children happy  by playing football. In the mean time  pick talented  player for better  platform or even grassroots  football academy of FIFA  in India.   It was  guided by main coach or Grassroots leader Mr. Basker Limboo and assited by Mr. C. P. Subba  and Mukesh  Das .  the whole  programme was  organized  DSA and it's Adhoc Committee Mr.  J.B. Subba , Mr. T.M. Subba, Mr. Gagan Subba, Mr.Roshan Pradhan  and many other  from and around Sombarey. The  camp ended  with the festival  with it's chief Guest Mrs. Devika Limboo , Chief Patron   Mr. R. B. Subba Minister Road and Bridge  Govt. Sikkim.

my mom no more

It was on sad  September 18th 2012  my beloved mom left  us and  rested in peace.taking all her pain and sorrow with her and left   us with  blessing and promises to meet again behind the clouds.She was 58 and was suffering from cancer for last 3 to 4 months.

SIKKIM DEMOCTRATIC FRONT

CONSTITUENCY  LEVEL COMMITTEE, DARAMDIN

 SOMBAREY, WEST SIKKIM

Constituency level meeting was organized  by CLC Daramdin on 28^th July 2012 at  the party office Sombarey. The meeting was conducted in the  chairmanship of the area MLA Mr. Tenzi Sherpa.

The meeting was called upon to convey the message and direction of the hon’ble  Party  President  SDF,  regarding the  forth coming Panchayat election.

The programmme started with the honoring  Mr. Sukman Subba who was recently  nominated as the  District Youth Convenor of west District, Mrs. Sunita Pradhan as Vice- convenor Cheli Morcha, District Committee and  Mr. Aita Raj Subba Tikpur  as Youth convenor CLC Daradmin.

The introduction of the newly nominated election committee members was done by the CLC Secretary Mr. D.K. Pradhan. Other speaker  Mr. Suk man Subba , Mrs  Pem Diki Sherpa and CLC President Mr. Pabitra Rai   convey the  message of the  Chief Minister and  the need to be united in the coming election.  They  said the required virtue of the  candidate of the party and urged the  members present to select the candidate  who is sincere towards the people and the party and who work for the upliftment  of the poor people  within the discipline of the party. 

The chief Guest of the Day Mr. Tenze Sherpa MLA  declared the  panchayat election  awareness will ne conducted block wise from 31th July 2012  till 9^th Aug. 2012 in the whole constituency .

All the  District committee west, Zilla panchayat members, Panchayats, members from CLC, BLC, WLC and Panchayat election committee  and others  were present in the meeting .
