A grand Sarawati Puja was organized at Yuma Manghim Compound Martalung below Sombarey, west Sikkim. The initiative was taken by Namsang Club of the area. The puja witnessed huge crowd of devotee of student, teachers and local people.  Along with Hon’ble Minister Mr. R. B Subba, Area MLA Mr. Tenzee Sherpa and West District Adhakshaya Mrs. Devika Subba who paid their visit at their convenient time . Along with the puja an anti Plastice drive was also organized  under the leadership Mr, Lak Hang Subba and Buddha Subba President and Vice Presedent  of Namsang  Club respectively.  The drive was conducted from MES naku dara dnd Power Switch Yard. Of the area.  The president Mr.Lak Hang Subba expected that this puja will draw positive attitude in student and younger generation. The puja Concluded with the bhajan in the evening.

It was on 7th and  8th feb 2013 when I happened  to attend  programme by WWF  for teacher to understand  and further  inculcate the  habit of environment  conservation among student--  the future guardian of the earth. The WWF had  great hospitality at  CMD ( center for mountain dynamic) Kalimpong   with pick and drop facility.  Four highly dedicated staffs of WWF Sikkim from Gangtok  tried their  best to convey the message and inform us about the  on going projects. with special emphasis  to Panda and  High level  wet land  of Sikkim. They sited  the  success story  of many places in Sikkim with expectation that  one can  make  much difference  in the area of  conservation. The programme had to be squeeze due to the ban announced by the political party of the area. 

Although  the camp was short  but  has been an eye opener to me in many ways. I learned about Bird watching   and feel like  i can make  list of  some of the  birds  present here.
