ISHA FELICITATED

On 24^th May 2014, Woodstock high school Sombarey West Sikkim felicitated their outgoing student of class X in the school hall. All the students, teachers and parents of class IX and X was present along with the proprietor Mr. T.  Norbu  kazi to bid farewell to the outgoing student. This year it was more special because one of the student Ms. Isha Pradhan scored scored 100 % in grand total .Out of its 11 students 1 scored 100%, 5 scored 80plus,  5 scored 70 plus . Mr. B. B. Rai and Sanjok Rai conveyed the message of congraluation and    best wishes to all out going students. The student, teachers and parents of class IX and present X garlanded the Isha Pradhan and her friends. The programme concluded  with the best wishes to the present X student of the school from all and wishing  all out going a very bright future .

ISHA SCORES 100%

Ms. Isha Pradhan roll no. 3157359 daughter of I.k. Pradhan and Sulochana Pradhan of Woodstock high School Sombarey, West Sikkim scores 100% in CBSE Class X.  The school that has consistent track record of 100%  pass results has environment of celebration on evening of 20^th May. Out of its 11 students 1 scored 100%, 5 scored 80plus, 4 scored 70plus and 1 below. The school management and principal said it is the joint effort of the student, school and parent of the student. Isha Pradhan said she is very happy by her results and thanked her teachers and blessing of her father and mother.  The management thanks the parents for having faith in their school and vowed to provide quality education in the rural area despite limited resources .Principal Mr. Indra Rai (dewan)  is determined and hopeful to have more such results in the future. Isha has ambition of becoming  doctor in the future.

woodstock gets medical awareness

On 4^th April 2014 a general Health Awareness Programme was conducted by Woodstock high School Sombarey, West Sikkim. The programme was to create general awareness among student about the good health and inculcate in them the positive attitude towards life. The   programme  was conducted with the help of medical staff  from primary Health Center Sombarey comprising  pharmacist Mr. Anil Pradhan, dentist  Ms. Priyanka  Pradhan and nurse Ms. Medina Lepcha. The programme started with the welcome speech by Ms. Kingchok Bhutia followed by Sir B.B. Chettri and others.

During the programme about 152 students was informed about the value and importance of balanced diet, precaution from dog bite and rabies, adolescent and stress, dental and oral hygiene.

At the end the Principal Mr. Indra Rai  ended the program with stressed that one should value their own health . He mentioned the growing habit of junk food, fast food and computer games  has lessen the activities of  today’s student and has developed depression which lead to suicidal  tendencies in future for which such health awareness programme can play a vital role .
