Sombarey: After devastating landslide in Sombarey the various organization of the area came up to clean and clear all the minor blockage of drain and roads of the area on 23th Aug 2009 and appealed not to throw their garbage in the drain. The organization comprise Sombarey Bazaar Samiti, taxi driver association, van driver association , some businessman and Sombarey police personnel . The drive started from BDO Office gate and ended at Sumphu Golai via Church Gown, Soreng Phatak, Sombarey market area, Devi Mandir, School Phatak, Thana colony and to telephone exchange area covering the distance of about 3 KM. The people comprising of man and women did join the group voluntarily on the way cleaning down. The other people present were Mr. D P Rai Govt. Contractor, Senior Citizen Mr. Sita ram Chandak, OC Navin Rai, Mr. Prem Kr. Subba PGT , Mr. Palzor Bhutia Head Bhutia Teacher
