International co-operative
year 2012observed at Daramdin :
On 6th April 2012 , The international
co-operative year 2012 was observed . A constituency level awareness programme was conducted
collaboratively by the
Co-operative department Soreng and SDF
Party ‘s Constituency Level Committee Daramdin at Kripashalyan Govt.
Sec. School Daramdin. The
programmme witnessed huge turn over from all registered co-operative Society of Daramdin Constituency . The programme was initiated
with the view that the every member of the society enlisted
with co-operative society be fully awareness of their
duty and rights as the member of that
society. Misconception and
misunderstanding will hinder and paralysis the development of
its’ members and organization as a whole. The programme started with welcome speech by The joint Secretary
CLC Daramdin ,Mr. Soraj Sotang followed
by one of the Board of Director
Sikkim Co-operative Union. (SICUN) Mr. Pemba Salaka . He explained about the SICUN and cleared some misconception about the Central Income tax
and PAN card with reference to
Co-operative Society. Mrs. Pem Diki Sherpa
Vice- convenor Cheli Morcha West District emphasized on the role of women in the
Co-operative movement and urged every women
to take active participation . Mr. K.B Thegim President L. Thambong in his speech
mentioned the co-operative
society will fill the gap between
the rich and poor. Mr. S.M. Subba convenor CLC
urged the society member to plan their guide line with future perspective, so that outcome could lead the future generation to desired direction. The
President of the CLC Daramdin Mr. P B.
Rai in his speech reminded the dream of
the hon’ble Chief Minister and said the
motive behind the implementation of Co-operative movement
is very clear and that is to uplift the poor, economically and socially.
In the programme the resource person from SICUN Mr.
B.P.H. Subba, Executive Officer
described about the basic objectives,
history and Democratic function of an Organized co-operative society.
From the
department side Mr. R.H. Subba
ARCS Soreng cleared some technical guide line for registration of the
Society , fund release and assured
full co-operation from the departmental side. Mr. JM
Pradhan Add. Registrar from Department side also
informed the gathering about
the progress and happening of the
Co-operative society of Sikkim.
The Chief Guest of the Day Mr. Tenzi Sherpa,
MLA Daramdin Constituency
highlighted the policy of the Government
to provide certain contract work to
Co-operative society and
urged All the member of the
Society to check the quality of the
works as it is concerned with the
development of the village and state as
whole.
The Programmme concluded with the interactive
session between the department
and the members of Cooperative Society .
In the programme
CLC Executive members, Zilla
Panchayat member Mrs. Pem Diki Sherpa,
Panchayats’ President and members of all nine GPU were present along with about 660 executive members of 81
registered Co-operative society
under different categories under
Daramdin constituency.
