TOURIST FESTIVAL AT HILLEY

On 23rd and 24th March 2010 a Singalila rhododendron festival was conducted at hilley under Daramdin Constituency. A huge crown flocked in as it was holiday on the eve of Ramnawami a Hindu festival. A variety of cultural show was organized and a wide range of traditional food stall was also constructed to serve the local cuisine to the present. Some tourist from another countries were also present and 100 trekkers were flagged off the another day. It was an attempt to promote tourism in the local area to expose natural beauty of Singalila range and create economic stability in the area.

SARVA DHARMA KENDRA DARAMDIN

This is a Religious Research center on all religion and is dedicated to SRI SATYA SAI BABA. and is beautifully constructed on the theme of lotus. It is on the way to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary.

MAOHA BHIR

This is also on the hidden paradise in Sombarey and is about 15 minutes walks from Puiratar and is on the way to Rimbik.\ West Bengal (Main base camp to Santakphu). As the story tell, this has very large cliff rock where the wild bees used to make a long hive so is called MAHA Bhir meaning honey cliff. ,

DEVI FALLS

The water falls named DEVI FALLS is at Tereybhir about 5 km from the main market is one of the unexplored falls. It is one of the tributaries of Teesta. It is about 120 feet in height. You can feel the cool freeze from the bridge near it and GET recharged

JAYTHANG KHOLA FALLS RUMBUK

This is one of the beautiful water falls near Rumbuk 4km from the main market. It flushes with milky waster during the rally season and crystal clear in winter . It is flowled by many flowering nerds with beautiful and some unnamed plants too. It later joins Teesta . Near this falls to add to it is a large Carving of Lord Hanuman near it and beautification is on it's way .
